As it has come up a few times, and we know some aren't keen on listings being drawn to attention whilst others may be bidding on and hoping for a bargain...

Here's a quick poll just to guage forum feeling... So what's it to be 'Freedom of speech and free market economics' OR 'Gentlemanly refrain on posting about open listings (till they are closed)'?

You decide....

I'm not afraid to say that I voted no. As a self imposed rule I don't comment on tackle that I think someone on the forum might be interested in. Sometimes however, it can be useful. Comments about certain listings could help another on the forum to avoid making a costly mistake.

I'm afraid I do find the old EBay thing on PP quite tiresome at times and for me personally takes away the real essence of what PP is all about but on the other hand freedom of speech must prevail.

So,

How about this as an idea, all ebay related posts are put in the Sale/swap/wanted section on the forum which will free up the general area for more relevant PP posts?

PS strangely I was going to have a moan about the EBay posts the other day then I saw this poll!

PPS Can we all go fishing now, pictures, experiences, problems and triumphs....B******k's to EBay!

:O)

John, the weather looks ok, possible odd shower, but they said heavy rain today, so far nadder.

I need to get some work out of the way, then perhaps some carp on the river or canal?

Voted no. As I've said elswhere on the forum, All is fair in love and war...and ebay bidding. If I loose out on an item I'm bidding on to one of my PP brethren, who's been alerted to it via the message board then that's fine. If that particular person's willing to pay more then so be it.
